Ed Phinney, a frequent visitor to townscrapbook, was a few years ahead of me, but by the looks of things was a prominent lad in and around WHS in the late 1940s. He lived in his retirement in the west, Arizona I believe. I didn’t know him as a young man in Warwick because 8 years or so separated us. I got to know him through townscrapbook and enjoyed his many comments and FYI submissions. He inscribed his name along with other athletes on the old WHS equipment room wall so it might be said that Ed was a charter member of Mike O’Brien’s WHS Wall of Fame.
