Walter Anthony Toffel 6/9/2015 Walter Anthony Toffel, of Warwick, passed away on June 9, 2015 at home. He was 77 years old. Born on November 17, 1937 in Sussex, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Stanley and Josephine (Bolzan) Toffel. He was married to Ellen (Graeber) Toffel. Walter served with the Marines from 1955-1957. He was a self-employed Agriculturist. A former Warwick volunteer fireman with Engine 3 and a former Boy Scout leader, he loved to hunt, fish, trap, and had a “green thumb” in his garden. He was a member of the Warwick United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ellen of Warwick; his four daughters: Kim Toffel of Aloha, OR, Suzanne (Sue) Foster of Naples, FL, Karen Carr of Andover, NJ, and Amy Sliter of Warwick, NY; five grandchildren: Andrew, Thomas, Casey, Kylie and Patrick. He is also survived by three step-children: Deborah Smith, Kelly Daun and Kevin Reilly, and seven step-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Andryshak of Westtown and a brother, Stanley Toffel of Westtown; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Ann Arkel. Memorial visitation will be on Wednesday, June 17th, 3:00 pm-5:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a service at 5:00 pm.
