Joyce went to Nursing School in White Plains, NY after WHS graduation. I'm thinking that this picture is at her graduation ceremony that Paulette apparently attended.
Joyce, as her name implies, was a joy to all. She died much too young, just beyond her 50th year, after working for many years at Horton Hospital in Middletown. She was much loved and is missed yet today. ... from
