News of Warwick from Bobby Hart
ews of Warwick

Over the past years Bob Hart has taken it upon himself to pass along Warwick related articles from the local newspapers, especially those that may be of interest to us - kids of the 30s, 40s, and 50s.

Likewise I have thought that such news would fit the TownScrapbook site just fine, and, but for my procrastion disease, I would have included the "Bob Hart News" earlier. Anyway here it is, better late than never. Thanks Bobby.

Sturr's stirring up interest on national TV

Sturr's stirring up interest on national TV
As if a star on his hometown's Main Street and 13 Grammy Awards weren't enough, Florida's very own Polka King Jimmy Sturr is headed to the silver screen.
Well, OK, it's a TV screen, but heck, it's free publicity. CBS's weekend show "Sunday Morning" will feature a profile of Sturr by veteran correspondent Charles Osgood, complete with a visit to Florida and footage of some of Sturr's more sturr-ing performances around the country. The show will air at 9 a.m. tomorrow on Channel 2.

THAT SHOULD BE THIS SUNDAY, FEB 9...
